Meet Jeanne and Hélène Karpov
Twin sisters and ambassadors of French high jewelry savoir-faire
From an early age, Jeanne and Hélène Karpov have lived and breathed art and creation. Their shared passion for beauty and precision naturally led them to the world of Haute Joaillerie — where they now unite creativity, rigor, and exceptional craftsmanship.
Hélène, jewelry designer, created remarkable pieces for Van Cleef & Arpels for over fifteen years, shaping some of its most emblematic collections.
Jeanne, jewelry gouache artist, brought her talent to the Place Vendôme, collaborating with prestigious houses within the LVMH, Richemont, and Kering groups.
Together, the “Karpov sisters” form a perfectly complementary duo, where the art of jewelry design meets the mastery of traditional techniques.
They lead savoir-faire workshops for iconic houses like Boucheron, collaborate with French museums such as the Petit Palais to showcase historical heritage, and create their own collections, including Précieux Élixirs — a poetic, contemporary line inspired by perfume bottles and gemstones.
Preserving the art of jewelry gouache
With over forty years of combined experience, Hélène and Jeanne share their expertise through their online platform, The Art of the Gouache, now an international reference for jewelry design education.
Their courses, used even by leading luxury houses, invite everyone to explore the art of light, brilliance, and poetry on paper.
Deeply committed to preserving artisanal heritage, they actively advocate for the official recognition of the jewelry gouache artist by the French Ministry of Culture. They also work to preserve and promote this craft internationally, collaborating with museums, art schools, and cultural institutions in France and abroad.
